So those of you who know me, know I’ve been waiting for November 6, 2011 for about 7+ months (or however long ago the 2011 NFL schedule was released).

PACKERS & CHARGERS. It isn’t about ‘versus’ because I love both teams equally. Call me crazy, weird or even confused, but I’m 100% sure about my love for both teams. (Again, if you know me, you know the story).

I’m really looking forward to seeing Aaron Rodgers and company play in San Diego, and I’m also really hoping Philip Rivers and company have the “worst day ever” behind them.

I am so excited for this game. I really hope it is a good one!

And of course, in honor of the blue and yellow & the green and yellow, here are my Chargers and Packers nails. I hope you like them!

For my Chargers nails I used Jo, Zoya which is a nice, light, cloudy blue and Bring on the Bling, OPI for the gold (it’s gold sparkles with a combination of pink/green glitter too).

For my Packers nails I used British Racing Green, butter LONDON which is a nice, forest green and also Bring on the Bling, OPI for the gold.

Here you go:

Hello lovelies!

For my latest nail polishing job I took a poll to see which color to choose? There was a close tie between two different turquoise colors, so I went with one of them simply because I didn’t want to use a matte polish. (Savage, Sinful Colors) (Even though all it takes to make it non-matte is a top coat, I know!)

I went with Peacock by American Apparel and I must say some people have great taste! 🙂 It is a nice, dark turquoise that looks amazing on tan skin! 🙂 It only took ONE coat to become opaque, YES it is that awesome! I absolutely love it!!

You can be the judge of how it looks:

Seche Vite Top Coat is amazing!

Can't get enough of this color 🙂

I love Peacock!

‘Till next time… 🙂

Hello, everyone!

So the latest color that I used to paint my nails is Dove by Zoya, which can be found in their Intimate collection, spring 2011. http://www.zoya.com/content/38/category/Zoya_Intimate_Spring2011_NailPolish_Collection.html

While I eventually hope to get the entire Intimate collection, my first priority was to get Caitlin and/or Dove. I’m happy to say, priorities fulfilled. I got Dove at my local Ulta store and then Caitlin also a few weeks later.

There was a period of time where I was unsure about Dove because I didn’t know how it would turn out. Here is why: The first time I saw Dove was when a friend of mine painted her nails with Dove and took a picture. To ME, in the picture the Dove looked like a light blue-ish, grey color; I thought “that is really pretty.” My friend reassured me it was grey. Similarly, another friend of mine tried a different grey from a different  brand (American Apparel’s Factory Grey) and I saw it in person and still it looked blue even though the bottle looked grey. I have yet to try Factory Grey and test it on my skin tone, but I’ve tried DOVE and let me just tell you this: YES it is grey, but at different angles and in different lights it can give off blue-ish undertones. I love Dove, it’s a nice, subtle color and it’s a nice change from the typical grey (at least to me) because it has the blue-ish grey undertones.

When I try the Factory Grey for myself, I’ll be sure to refer back to this post on Dove.

I can see why so many people love Dove by Zoya so much! The subtle, light grey with blue-ish undertones in Dove looks really good on all skin tones!

Here’s what it looks like after 2 coats and a quick-dry coating (I probably shouldn’t have put the quick-dry on because it makes it chunky and messy) so pardon that!

I'm in DOVE! 🙂

I love Dove, Zoya 🙂
